WHAT IS A SPORTS PHYSICIAN
Sports Physicians are specialist physicians that have completed an undergraduate medical degree, residency training in a hospital, and then a comprehensive 4 year fellowship in Sports and Exercise Medicine. They specialise in the treatment of athletes and other physically active individuals, and have extensive education in both musculoskeletal and exercise-related medical issues.
OUR SPORTS PHYSICIAN
Our resident Sports Physician Dr. Karen Holzer has worked as a team doctor for a variety of sports at the domestic, state, national and international levels including the Commonwealth Games, World Championships and Olympic Games, an accomplishment that very few doctors have achieved.
