Australian team in safe hands

The Athletics Australia Cross Country team will be in safe hands with SYSSM massage therapist Richard Squires. It was announced yesterday that Richard will support the team at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships to be held in Kampala, Uganda on the 26th of March 2017.
Over recent years, Richard has worked with the Australian Olympic team and has been the head massage therapist for the Melbourne Track Club treating many of the world’s leading distance runners.
Under Richard’s care, Melbourne Track Club athlete, Brett Robinson will be leading the charge for Australia as he looks to better his 28th placing from the 2015 Championship. Robinson will be joined by fellow MTC athletes Stewart McSweyn and Sam McEntee in Uganda.

Richard is an energetic Remedial Massage Therapist, with a Bachelor of Exercise Science. His passion for massage stems from a back injury he sustained through AFL football.
Richard has over 17 years of clinical experience and has worked in a variety of settings from health spas to sports clubs, and most recently with the Australian Olympic Track & Field team.
