At the centre Kate’s practice is the belief that through educating people on how their bodies work,
we can to dive deeper into understanding how to live and move more effectively to get the best out
of life!

Kate has been in the health and wellness industry since 2004, when she completed her Diploma of
Remedial Massage at the Australian College of Sports Therapy. Soon after in 2005, Kate completed
her first Pilates training course through Dance Medicine Australia (DMA). This was followed by the
completion of her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy in 2007 at RMIT University. Since then, Kate
has undertaken further advanced education in Pilates, completing her comprehensive training with
Body Arts and Science (BASi) in 2010, followed by Diploma in Professional Pilates Training with
National Pilates Training (NPT) in 2014. More recently in 2018, Kate completed her Meditation &
Mindfulness teacher training through the Melbourne Meditation Centre.
Kate has experience working with both general population clients, and elite level athletes in sports
such as Golf, Ironman Triathlon, and Surf Swimming & Lifesaving. Kate’s goal is to educate clients on
the benefits of holistic health wellness, blending her diverse skillset of Myotherapy, Pilates and
Meditation.

Techniques used during a Myotherapy treatment include soft tissue manipulation/deep tissue
massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial dry needling, myofascial release, postural assessment and
correction, corrective exercises (stretches, strength), and core stability exercises. These techniques
are used to ease tight muscles, reduce pressure on joints, relieve pain, and improve range of
movement.
